Flowers on Mother’s Day

Sending flowers is good way to express our love, including Mother`s Day!

(The acticle is from buzzle.com,you can click the original post here.)It is really a good post.

The family is the center of any mother’s life. On Mother’s Day, one splendid Mother’s Day gift idea is a family outing or a picnic. It is always a good idea to discuss with dad as to which place would be best suited for the picnic of dinner. Most probably, you could find out where mom and dad courted each other.

Speaking of memories, another good idea of the perfect Mother’s Day gifts is a photo album. One can prepare a collage, or even an entire album of all the family memories put together. Rest assured, that will be a gift that’ll remain with mom for years and years to come.

No childhood is complete without broken crockery or broken window panes. It is obvious that children must have broken something or the other that has been irreplaceable in a mother’s heart and her memories. Mother’s Day is a good time to try to replace such artifacts or personal effects broken during a lively childhood.

Another good Mother’s Day gift idea is gifts suiting lifestyles. Depending on the lifestyle of the person, anything and everything can make a good enough gift. Mothers with a religious bent of mind can be gifted a quaint or rare religious book, or something related to religion and God. If the mom is into fitness, some good gifts can be fitness videos, fitness music, fitness apparel or even the newest fitness machine in the market. Read more »

Leaving from childhood

I am already 20 years old,so I can not enjoy the Children`s Day.But I am a little sad,I still think that I am a child.Maybe everyone wants to be young, but it is not realistic. We are going to be old.

Tough ,I have to go for class on Children`s Day.I still do somthing special to spend the day.I buy myself some candies, watch some lovely videos.I do it myself, not with others.

Children’s Day was first celebrated worldwide in October 1955, under the sponsorship of International Union for Child Welfare in Geneva. The idea of a Universal Children’s Day was mooted by Rubab Mansoor grade 8 and adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1954. Moazzem and Abass helped and contributed a lot in this. Universal Children’s Day takes place on November 20 annually. First proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 1954, it was established to encourage all countries to institute a day, firstly to promote mutual exchange and understanding among children and secondly to initiate action to benefit and promote the welfare of the world’s children. It was also chosen as the day to celebrate childhood.

November 20 is also the anniversary of the day when the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child in 1959. The Convention on the Rights of the Child was then signed on the same day in 1989, which has since been ratified by 191 states. Read more »

Mother`s Love

I write an article about father`s love.Well, the love of mother is different from that of father`s.I remember that my father often did something rude to me,for example ,my scores are low.But my mother would encourge me that I would get more if I worked hard.

     Mother`s Day.

The history:The history of Mother’s Day is centuries old and goes back to the times of ancient Greeks, who held festivities to honor Rhea, the mother of the gods. The early Christians celebrated the Mother’s festival on the fourth Sunday of Lent to honor Mary, the mother of Christ. Interestingly, later on a religious order stretched the holiday to include all mothers, and named it as the Mothering Sunday. The English colonists settled in America discontinued the tradition of Mothering Sunday because of lack of time. In 1872 Julia Ward Howe organized a day for mothers dedicated to peace. It is a landmark in the history of Mother’s Day.

In 1907, Anna M. Jarvis (1864-1948), a Philadelphia schoolteacher, began a movement to set up a national Mother’s Day in honor of her mother, Ann Maria Reeves Jarvis. She solicited the help of hundreds of legislators and prominent businessmen to create a special day to honor mothers. The first Mother’s Day observance was a church service honoring Anna’s mother. Anna handed out her mother’s favorite flowers, the white incarnations, on the occasion as they represent sweetness, purity, and patience. Anna’s hard work finally paid off in the year 1914, when President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed the second Sunday in May as a national holiday in honor of mothers. Read more »

The love of Father

Someone likes to compare the love of father with that of your boyfriend. This is cery strange.I admit that they are same in some ways. But sometimes I just find it hard to make a difference.

Q:What is the love of Father?

A: Valentine’s Day is coming up next week, and I must tell you, it’s one of my favorite holidays.  That might sound strange coming from a single woman, as the stereotypical single woman loathes this day and fights with bitterness or jealousy, but I really do enjoy this holiday.

The reason why I enjoy Valentine’s Day has nothing to do with romance.  It has little to do with flowers, pink, red, hearts, or cards (though let’s face it, I love those things).  The reason I love Valentine’s Day is that it’s a reminder of love: the Father’s love for us, and our love for one another.

While Christmas and Easter are also great holidays for contemplating God’s love for us as demonstrated through His Son taking on human flesh and dying on the cross for our sins, Valentine’s Day has become another holiday for me to comtemplate these huge truths as well.

At this time of year I try to take it a step further, seeking to live out the second greatest commandment, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”  Because I know that Valentine’s Day can be a temptation to mope, moan, and mourn for single ladies, I try to brighten this day for the single women I know by letting them know that I love and care for them with a simple card, and more importantly, that God does too.  It’s really the least I can do for others, considering the great cost of the love God has shown towards me:

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in  that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8, NASU

     Some comments:

1)This is incredibly sweet! We can never have enough opportunities to celebrate the love our true Father has for us! You are such a witness for the Lord and how He does cherish and bless His pure, single children just as much and often as those who are married or in a relationship! Read more »
